The Regional Municipality of Niagara Police Service Board holds its next regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, and the public is invited to attend or watch online.
The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. and will be streamed live on the board's YouTube channel, according to the Niagara Regional Police Service. A recording will be posted to the board's website afterward so residents who miss the live session can catch up.
The agenda for the Oct. 22 meeting, along with a full archive of past board agendas and minutes, is available online at calendar.niagarapolice.ca/meetings.
What the board does
The Niagara Police Service Board is the civilian body that governs the Niagara Regional Police Service. It is responsible for ensuring adequate and effective police services are provided to residents across Niagara Region.
That oversight covers the communities served by the service's districts, including St. Catharines and Thorold, Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake, Welland and Pelham, Fort Erie, Port Colborne and Wainfleet, and Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln.
Board meetings give residents a direct window into how those policing decisions are made — from budgets and policies to service priorities — without having to attend in person.
How to follow along
Anyone looking to tune in can watch the meeting as it happens on the board's YouTube channel, or review the recording once it is uploaded to the board's website.
Questions about the meeting can be directed to Deb Reid, Chief Governance Officer, at deb.reid@niagarapolice.ca or 905-688-4111 ext. 1006022.
