Residents of Niagara Falls can begin signing up for the city's summer recreation programs this week, with online registration opening Wednesday, June 3, at 6:00 p.m., according to a City of Niagara Falls media release.
The summer lineup covers pools and aquatics, arts and crafts, sports, and health and fitness classes, with options aimed at all ages, skill levels and interests.
Registration schedule
The city has staggered the sign-up window over three days. Online registration for Niagara Falls residents begins Wednesday, June 3, at 6:00 p.m. In-person registration for residents opens Thursday, June 4, at 9:00 a.m. Registration for non-residents follows on Friday, June 5, at 9:00 a.m.
Anyone hoping to take part will need an ActiveNet account. The city is encouraging participants to set up their accounts before registration opens so the process goes more smoothly on the day. Accounts can be created through the ActiveNet registration page on the city's website.
What's on offer
Registered child and youth programs are a core part of the summer session. The city says these programs are designed to keep young people active and engaged with their peers and the broader community over the school break.
Aquatics offerings include recreational swimming as well as instructional swimming programs, giving residents a chance to cool off or build their skills in the water.
For adults, the city is offering a range of programs and classes tied to health and fitness goals. The release encourages residents to explore the options to find a routine that suits their lifestyle.
