A 49-year-old Ridgeway man is facing multiple drug charges after Niagara Regional Police searched a home in Niagara's south end last week.
Raffaele Petrarzuolo of Ridgeway was arrested on May 27 when detectives executed a search warrant at a residence on Nicolas Road, Niagara Regional Police said.
The investigation began in early 2026, when police started looking into suspected drug trafficking connected to the home.
What police say they found
During the search, investigators seized suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine, along with empty methadone bottles and items police describe as related to drug trafficking. A replica BB handgun was also recovered.
Petrarzuolo has been charged with multiple counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, involving fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine and opioids. He is also charged with breaching probation.
Second arrest at the scene
A second person was taken into custody during the same operation. Candace Kasper, 35, of Fort Erie, was arrested on an outstanding probation warrant, according to Niagara Regional Police.
No further details about the investigation, including whether additional charges are expected, have been released by police.
The charges have not been tested in court. Petrarzuolo is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
